LaRae Rindlisbach Jabbs 71, wife, mother, sister, and friend passed away Jan. 14, 2002, at home in Alpine, Utah.

She was born Nov. 19, 1930 in Riverton, UT to Lester R. and Ethel Newby Draper Rindlisbach. She married Elmonte Roger Jabbs in the Salt Lake City Temple on Sept. 16, 1955. They lived in California for 28 years before moving back to Utah in 1988.

LaRae worked at Utah Valley Hospital, and worked as a nanny in Provo. She served an LDS Mission in CA. from 1954 to 1955. She and her husband served LDS missions in Nigeria, West Africa and Vancouver, Canada from 1990 to 1992. She also was a Relief Society President twice and held other positions in the LDS Church. She was an accomplished artist, and loved doing genealogy and serving people.

She is survived by her husband, Roger; and five children: Randy

(Debbie) Jabbs of West Valley, Utah; Cary (Nancee) Jabbs of Nibley, Utah; Steven (DeeAnn) Jabbs of Provo, Utah; Cindy (Tom) Winters of Spokane, Washington; and Vicki (Gerald) Barnes of Preston, Idaho; and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Wendall Rindlisbach, Verron Rindlisbach, and Elwood Rindlisbach and her sisters, Aloha Porter, Iris Lorain, Gay Dahle, and Claudia Harper. Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a sister.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2002 at 11 a.m., in the North Alpine Stake building, 1125 N. Alpine Boulevard, Alpine, Utah. Her viewing will be held on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002 at the same building 6:30-8:30 p.m. and one hour prior to services, where friends and family may call. The interment will be in Alpine, Utah at the Alpine City Cemetery, 443 North 200 East.
