U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft will be visiting Utah to be briefed on, among other things, Olympic security preparations.
Utah Commissioner of Public Safety Robert Flowers said he is scheduled to meet with Ashcroft Monday or Tuesday to discuss Olympic preparations, homeland security and domestic terrorism.
Flowers said Ashcroft is also expected to tour Olympic venues while he's here. Ashcroft is another in a growing list of high-level government officials who've visited Utah recently to check on Olympic security preparations. Last week Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge toured venues and met with state security and political leaders.
