Sunday on TV

NFL playoffs: Ravens at Steelers (10:30 a.m., Ch. 2); Packers at Rams (2 p.m., Ch. 13)

60 Minutes (6 p.m., Ch. 2): Reports range from torture to military dress codes to the governor of Massachusetts.

Golden Globe Awards (7 p.m., Ch. 5): I hate most awards shows, but I hate this one more than most. Not just because its legitimacy is highly questionable, but because it's nauseating to hear the same stars who vilify the press the other 364 days of the year gushing over how grateful they are to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which is behind this mockery.

The Simpsons (7 p.m., Ch. 13): Springfield is declared the fattest town on Earth. (Postponed from last week.)

Gossip: Tabloid Tales (7 p.m., A&E): A look behind the history of the lurid tabloids.

Roots (7 p.m., Hallmark): On its 25th anniversary, the Hallmark Channel reruns this groundbreaking miniseries.

Malcolm in the Middle (7:30 p.m., Ch. 13): Reese gets a job at a fast-food joint. (Postponed from last week.)

Alias (8 p.m., Ch. 4): Director Quentin Tarantino makes the first of two appearances as a mysterious former agent.

American Experience (8 p.m., Ch. 7): A profile of Gutzon Borglum, the sculptor behind Mount Rushmore.

The Chamber (8 p.m., Ch. 13): Because of a legal battle with ABC's "The Chair," Fox debuted this sadistic game show rather suddenly last week — and what it really turned out to be was a bore.
