Daniel L. Martino, 86 years of age, of St. Paul, formerly of Ogden, UT.

Born on Feb. 3, 1915 and entering rest on Dec. 28, 2001.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Vaughn Martino, June 13, 1998. They had no children.

Dan is survived by his two sisters, Lucy Palumbo and Theresa Palumbo; and one brother Christe Martino; and a cousin Theresa Dermody. He also has six nieces, Christina Dunbar, Patricia Hobart, Cyndi Nelson, Mary Beyer, Patricia Nevin, and Margaret Abernathy; and three nephews, Thomas Palumbo, Dan Martino and Christe Martino, Jr.

Dan was loved by all who knew him, a kind and genteel man, giving all credit to God, for his gifts, in touching and bringing music he loved so much, to others. Dan also loved his wife Ruth, his family, and all their dear friends.

Dan was director and professor of music and fine arts at the Universities of Minnesota, Ohio, Indiana, B.Y.U. and Weber State University - 35 years as Professor of Music, and conceived and was Head of Cultural Affairs at Weber Univ. and City of Ogden.

Dan and Ruth were very active in volunteer work and various charities.

Dan and Ruth were longtime members of Rotary International - showing their love of all mankind, and those in need.
