Delphia Nye Moon, age 91, "fought a good fight, kept the faith and finished her course" in this life on December 30, 2001 in Roosevelt.

She was born February 23, 1910 in Vernal, Utah to David and Delilah Shelton Nye. She married Orven James Moon June 1, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Orven preceded her in death seven months ago on their 69th wedding anniversary. Delphia fulfilled all her roles in life from daughter to great-great grandmother with dignity, patience and understanding. She was an avid reader and an accomplished cook. She was loved by everyone that ever met her; she graced the world with her generosity, talent, and radiant love. She never turned away from a challenge or a person in need. Her activity in The Church of Jesus Christ was a blessing to all she served.

She is survived by three sons and a daughter, Neil (Jeanie) Moon of Pleasant Valley; Clive (Pat) Moon of Plano, Texas; Alton (Carolyn) Moon of Duchesne; Karen (Wade) Peterson of Orem; 21 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; one brother and one half-sister, Bud Nye and Nyetta Larson. She was preceded in death by six brothers.

Delphia's children shall ever be grateful to the owners and staff of Parkside Manor for the tender and loving care of their mother.
