MURRAY — One man was injured in a drive-by shooting on I-15 early Saturday morning.

Daily Johnson, 28, was driving south at about 5300 South when a white or silver car pulled up along side his car and fired six rounds. Three bullets struck Johnson in the arm and shoulder, said Murray Police Lt. Dee Rowland. He is listed in serious condition at LDS Hospital.

There were two other passengers in Johnson's car. Neither was hurt, Rowland said.

Police are calling the incident a random shooting. Rowland said road rage and gang connections have been ruled out by investigators.

Murray police closed a two-mile section of I-15 for about two hours while they searched the area for possible evidence. Rowland said investigators came up empty handed.
