The FBI has identified one bank robber, thanks to help from the public, and now the agency is asking for the public's help on another case.

After running pictures from bank surveillance cameras on the local news, agents received enough information from viewers to issue an arrest warrant for a man in connection with three bank robberies.

The man, 54, is accused of robbing Bank One, 80 W. Broadway, on Dec. 27; Zions Bank, 701 E. 400 South on Jan. 3; and Wells Fargo, 1095 E. 2100 South, Jan. 9.

The arrest warrant was issued for a man who got out of jail in December, said FBI Supervisory Special Agent Kevin Eaton. Agents were still looking for the man Friday.

The FBI is also asking for the public's help in finding another man who is believed to have robbed three other banks since Jan. 2. He is believed to be responsible for robberies at Granite Credit Union, 6799 S. 900 East; Utah First Credit Union, 6935 S. 900 East; and Jordan Credit Union, 9260 S. 300 East.

The robber is described as a white man in his 30s with brown hair, about 5-foot-9 and 200 pounds.

In each incident the man has handed the teller a note saying, "I have a gun. Give me the $$." No weapon was displayed in any of the three robberies.
