JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A U.S. Navy recruiter has been jailed on charges of conspiring to sell 97 pounds of cocaine to a sailor in Florida, police said.

Unjel Harris, 35, of Dallas, is accused of shipping the cocaine to Chief Petty Officer Edgar Bartley, based at Mayport Naval Station.

Authorities said they received a tip last month and secretly recorded the men's phone calls. They said Harris had sent two large shipments of cocaine to Bartley and was owed $19,000.

Harris was jailed in Dallas on Saturday. Bartley was arrested in December and charged with trafficking in cocaine, police said.
