John C. Brown left this world Jan. 20, 2002.

He was born Nov. 14, 1918 in Midvale, UT. to John Silas Brown and Vera Wright Brown. He brought two families into this world and enjoyed the company of a third. With Rayma, he brought a son Philip (Mae) Brown and a daughter Marilyn (John) Veenendaal. With Fay, who precedes him in death, Peggy (Randy) Taylor and Deborah (Merlin) Thomas. Later in his life he married Judith H. Brown. He enjoyed the company of two stepdaughters, Carrie (David) Boesch and Sara (Mark) Hull. He was blessed with eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Throughout his life he enjoyed the company of sister Dorothea (Drew) Larsen.

During World War II, he served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and showed pride in this all his life.

He loved the outdoors and taught his families to respect and enjoy them as well. He worked hard to teach all of his children the importance of being an independent person and enjoying life to its fullest!

A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, January 24th at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive and one hour prior to the service at Mountain View. Interment Mountain View Memorial Estates.
