Max S. Park, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on January 21, 2002.

He was born Dec. 6, 1921 in Millcreek, Utah to John Sidrick and Stannie Amelia Burt Park. He moved to Bennion in 1928 and raised his family there. He graduated from Granite High School and later served his country in the Army during World War II in Europe. He was employed by Kennecott Copper and retired after 40 years. Max married Betty Nola Frost January 12, 1944 in DeRidder, Louisiana; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 10, 1946. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many organizations with a special passion for Scouting. He served as a Temple Ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple for eight years.

Survived by his wife, Betty, of 58 years; daughter, Bonnie (Patrick) Powell, Sandy; sons, Lester M. (Pamela), Taylorsville; Terry L. (Sandy), Murray; Robert D. (Susan), Taylorsville; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren (two more waiting for grandpa to send down); brothers, Claude, Bud, Craig; sister, Beth

(Joseph) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Burt and Wayne.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 24, 2002, 12 noon at the Valley Park 2nd Ward, 5233 South 3200 West. Friends may call Wednesday, January 23, 2002, 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Thurs. at the church, 10-30-11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East.
