Etta Lemira Collins Hedman passed away on January 21, 2002 in West Jordan, Utah at the age of 83.

Lemira was born on July 8, 1918 in Magna, Utah to Aquilla Junius Collins and Estella Hoffman. Lemira married Leonard Hedman on April 26, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lemira was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held various positions in the church, throughout her life, working in Primary and Relief Society. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Lemira spent her entire life in Salt Lake City, graduating from West High School. She was employed at S.H. Kress Co., W.T. Grant Co. and Purity Biscuit Co.

Lemira loved to crochet and made beautiful doilies that everyone cherished. She loved to do family history and wrote many life stories of her ancestors. She loved to work in her garden and was always proud of her roses and irises.

Lemira is survived by her two sons and their spouses, Steve (Bonnie) and Mark (Susan); and seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeff (Joanna), Jon, Matt, Brian, Natalie and Anna.

Funeral Services will be Friday, Jan. 25, 2002 at 12 noon at Valley View Funeral Home Chapel, 4335 West 4100 South, where the family will receive family and friends at a viewing one hour prior to the services at 10:45 a.m. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
