Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, DeVere Rager, left this earthly existence in the early hours of Jan. 22, 2002.
She was born Nov. 6, 1907 in Provo, Utah, the second child of Wallace Lott and Elsie Cook. She married Walter Earl Rager on May 29, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a member of the LDS Church and served as a Primary Teacher. She was also a member of the Bingham Fire Dept., Auxiliary.
DeVere was a talented seamstress and shared her crocheted and knitted items with her family and friends. She loved to work crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her sons, William E. and Shirley Rager, West Jordan, Utah; Clare and Mary Agnes Rager, Sandy, Utah; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Terrell Lott, Orem; Alden and Dorothy Lott, Tooele; sisters, Norma Ford, Center-ville; Fawn Wolfe, Las Vegas, NV; Nevada; sister-in-law, June Lott, Salt Lake City; also nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband; parents; a great-grandson, Weston Moore; three brothers, Mack, Lynn and Jack Lott, sister, Vona Reynaud.
Funeral services Friday, January 25, 2002, at 1 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State where friends may call Thurs. 6-8 p.m. or Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
The family expresses gratitude to the caregivers form Home Nursing, Wentworth Assisted Care and the Staff of Sandy Rehabilitation for their tender care of our mother. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
