Our Oma, mother, sister, aunt and friend, Elizabeth Johanna Petzold Felman Robson, age 75, passed away suddenly January 21, 2002 following complications of surgery in Bountiful, Utah.
She was born Oct. 24, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York to Wilhelm K. Petzold and Elisabeth Rohr Petzold. Liz lived in New York, Germany, Texas (Crystal City Internment Camp), Indiana, Florida, Washington and Utah and made lifelong friends everywhere she traveled.
Elizabeth married William D. Felman in November 1947, later divorced. Married Charles A. Robson Jr. in May 1985 and lived in a beautiful log cabin in Brush Prairie, Washington for ten years where they were active in the Battle Ground Elks Lodge and the Bethel Lutheran Church before moving back to Utah. Liz will be remembered by her love for life, sense of humor, good cooking, generous nature, love of Frank Sinatra, her German heritage, and the love she showed to her family and friends. Many people remember her great personality during the years she worked at Grand Central and Keith O'Briens. She endlessly anticipated the "big win" in Wendover which she claimed was far overdue. In recent years she became an avid Jazz fan. She was a member of the Bountiful Community Church.
Liz is survived by her four children (all of whom believed they were her favorite): Merrilee (Bob) McCall, children, Rob, Shannon and Katie; Vicki (John) Schoenfeld, children, Danny and Betsy; Bill (Evelyn) Felman, children, Eric (Tifani) great-grandchild, Brennan, Tammy (Eric) Fontana, Cherie and Curtis; Tim (Nancy) Felman, children, Lisa (Arron) Echols, T.J. and Austin; sister Helen (Sandy) Riemer, Brush Prairie, Washington, nieces Ingrid Griffin, Karin Mahugh, nephew Emil Riemer and their families; stepchildren, Charles A.
