Maurine "Robin" Robins Steed of Orem, UT. passed away on Jan. 19, 2002, with her family at her side.
Robin was born March 11, 1927, in Delta, Utah to Kenith Rand and Florence Cropper Robins. Robin was both a teacher and a life-long learner who changed the lives of everyone she met. She was an educator who valued each child she taught. She had a love of reading and knowledge. She taught in California and Utah where she educated both adults and children. She retired from the Department of Education at BYU in 1995. She loved playing the piano, singing, and reading stories to her grandchildren. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in several capacities including youth and education programs and Temple work. Her warm and friendly smile will be greatly missed but not forgotten.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Jodi Robin Hepworth (Steve) Burley, ID.; Blaine Ronald Steed (Elizabeth) Orem, UT.; Jonathan Scott Steed, Midvale, UT.; Janet Michele Steed Pleasanton, CA.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grand-children; brother Merien L. Robins (Shirley). She was preceded in death by her brother Roland K. Robins and parents Kenith and Florence Robins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002 at the Windsor Fourth Ward Chapel 1875 N. 280 West
, Orem. Family and friends may call at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home at 646 E. 800 N., Orem, on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the chapel on Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to service. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery.
