Margaret Ann Woolley Kolby, age 94, passed away Monday, January 21, 2002 at South Davis Community Hos-pital in Bountiful, Utah.

She was born Nov. 16, 1907 in Salt Lake City, Utah; daughter of Shirley Mills and Lillian Mary Horne Woolley. She was a mem-ber of the LDS Church. Married T. Emil Kolby, January 15, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away March 14, 1963.

Margaret was proud of her pioneer ancestry. She was the last surviving grandchild of Joseph Horne, captain of a handcart company. Her great-grandfather John Mills Woolley entered the valley in 1847. She attended LDS High School and graduated from the University of Utah. She taught school in the Salt Lake City School District, retiring from Rosslyn Heights Elementary School. She loved her cabin in Brighton. There her family would gather together for wonderful times.

Margaret was mother to three children: Lillian (Karl) Page, Joanne (Jim) Beckstrom, and Carolyn Taylor. She is survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and by her brothers and sister: Richard I (Lola) Woolley, Ruth (Arlin) Mecham, and Lyman M. (Mary) Woolley. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Marian Elizabeth Woolley and stepmother Hannah I. Woolley.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2002 at 12 noon at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Enter the Cemetery at 4th Avenue and "N" Street follow Main Street to Hillside and turn right at 460 North. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, Salt Lake City.
