He was a farmer in Circleville until 1951. He moved to American Fork in 1951 to work as a Corrections Officer at the Utah State Prison, where he served as a Lieutenant during his last several years there. After retiring from the Prison in 1974, he went to work for Salt Lake County as a dispatcher, until his second retirement in 1984. Dad was proud to say that he had never been without a job in his entire working career. He was a member of the LDS Church. He served as President of the Majestic Meadows Lion's Club from 1983-1984. All who knew Jack enjoyed his sense of humor and stories of his youth. He called his children almost daily to ask how they were doing.

Services will be held at the Deseret Mortuary at 36 East 700 South in Salt Lake City on Friday, January 25th at 12 p.m. Friends and family may call two hours prior to the service. He will be buried in the Circleville Cemetery on Saturday, January 26th with graveside services held at 12 p.m. prior to his burial.

Our family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the Progressive Care Unit at St. Marks Hospital for their kind and compassionate care during the last days of Dad's life.

You have left a big hole in our family, Dad, and we will miss you every day. You will never be far from our thoughts.
