Heber C. Peterson, Jr., 76, lovingly referred to as "Bud" or "Pete", passed away Tues., Jan. 22, 2002, fol-lowing a long fight with Alz-heimer's Disease.

He was born Aug. 10, 1923 in East Garland, Utah, a son of Heber Clarence Sr. and Marie Dawson Peterson. 55 years ago on Oct. 12, 1945, Bud married Carolyn M. Tanner in Ogden. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 23, 1991.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was a High Priest and a Home Teacher. Bud served his country with the U.S. Navy during World War II.

This gentle man worked for Blue Cross & Blue Shield for 40 years. He took great pride in his company and loved all the people he worked with.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn, of Ogden; his daughter, Tori Dee (Robert) Lange and her four children:

Megan, Candace, Matthew and Marcus; his daughter-in-law, Terrie Janine (Steve) Lake and her three children: Darryll, Jennifer and Travis; and one great-grandson, Hudson. Bud is also survived by his sister, Jacque Emley, Hurricane, Utah; and nephews and in-laws that he dearly loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three children, Kristen, Breck and Darrell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
