Investigators are determining what sparked a two-alarm truck fire in an auto repair shop Wednesday night.

Sales personnel at Larry H. Miller Truckland Ford noticed the adjacent service center, 1344 S. 300 West, on fire and called 911 about 7:30 p.m., Salt Lake fire spokesman Scott Freitag said. Crews made a forcible entry into the locked building and noticed heavy smoke.

The fire was contained to the truck, which is a total loss, Freitag said.

"However, there was extensive smoke damage to some other vehicles and to the building," Freitag said.

Damage from the blaze is about $100,000, Freitag said.
