PROVO ? City officials have announced the route of the Olympic torch relay when it passes through Provo on Feb. 5.
The route begins on Center Street near Pioneer Park and then jogs back and forth from east to west as it makes its way north through the city. It passes most of the city's major landmarks and crosses University Avenue four times.
The torch should arrive in LaVell Edwards Stadium at 9:20 that night, where a torchbearer yet to be named will light a temporary caldron. A free celebration will begin at 8:30 p.m. and include local entertainers such as Peter Breinholt and Sam Cardon.
