Albert Edmund Jenkins, 78 died Wednesday, January 23, at LDS Hospital of injuries related to a traffic accident.

Albert was a life long resident of Midvale, graduated from Jordan High School and served during World War II in the US Air Force in Europe. A journeyman carpenter all his life, he worked on large projects from Ogden to Provo, building schools, churches, and temples. He was active in the LDS Church and served a mission with his wife to the Jordan River Temple. He had served on the Midvale Harvest Days Committee, Midvale Historic Society and Beautification committee. He loved gardening and made the world a beautiful place

He is survived by two daughters, Paula Steinicke of West Jordan; Kim (William) Armstrong of Midvale; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. three sisters, Leona Mayfield, West Valley City; Erma Weaver, Colorado and Edna King, Layton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rae, son-in-law Arno Steinicke, granddaughter Holly Jacobson, two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 28th, at Midvale 3rd Ward, 7825 So. Olympus Street at 1 p.m. Viewing Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 S. State Street, and one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 S. 1700 E.
