Lula Parrish Beesley, age 92, died peacefully at her daughter's home in Kaysville, January 24, 2002.

She was born March 29, 1909 in Centerville, Utah, to George Stanley and Mary Ford Parrish. She married James Bowman Beesley January 5, 1934, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death January 13, 1987.

A gifted musician, mother willingly shared her beautiful talents as a violinist, including 25 years with the Wasatch Community Orchestra, tenor in the ward choir and ward organist - a position she held for 50 years in the Mountain View 2nd Ward. She also loved and took great pride in her three daughters and extended family.

Survivors include: daughters, Mrs. Richard C. Watkins (Kaye), Salt Lake City; Mrs. Delbert H. Strasser (Mary Lou), Bountiful; Mrs. Ross G. Quist (Marsha), Kaysville; 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Morris Parrish, Leone Fisher and Marian Rasband. Preceded in death by husband, parents and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 28, 2002 at 12 noon at the Mountain View 2nd LDS Ward, 1400 South 1900 East. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S Highland Dr., on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the ward from 10:45-11:45 prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
