Frank asked that he be remembered as a strong believer of hard work and the value of honesty. That he cared deeply for his family, their well being and they get along with each other.
Frank died Jan. 23, 2002. Born Oct. 24, 1924 in Ranchos of Taos, NM to J. Arsenio and Manuelita Cortez Velarde. Married Aurora Dora Branchal on Sept. 15, 1945. After arriving in Utah in 1945 he worked for Murray City for 32
years, also repaired Radio and TV's for many years. Frank loved the mountains and all sports, including the Jazz. Member of St. Vincent Catholic Church for many years and now St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Survived by wife, Dora; daughters - Vicki, Jennie, Maryann, Sylvia, Barbara, Loretta, Doreen, Lela; sons, Bob Frank, Lawrence; 25 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, four brothers, four sisters, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; sons, Rick, Leo and Manuel; granddaughters, Jamie and Theresa.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, 1:30 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 W. 5215 So. Friends may call Sunday 5-7 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. with Vigil Prayer service at 7 p.m. Interment - Redwood Memorial Estates.
