BALTIMORE (AP) — Three children were killed and an infant was injured in a mobile home fire Saturday.

Chief deputy Fire Marshal Robert Thomas said the fire started about 5 a.m., when five children and four adults were inside. The adults tried to put out the flames with pans of water, Thomas said, and broke windows trying to rescue the screaming children inside.

Those killed were Edward Ross McFadden Jr., 8, and his sister, Jessica McFadden, 5, both of Nottingham, Pa. Also killed was Blake Rominger, 22 months old.

A 3-month-old boy suffered second-degree burns over his face and head. He is expected to be released Sunday from a hospital.
