SANDY — The phrase "your money or your life" nearly came into play for a man here last week.
A man, 20, apparently had a $20 bill slip out of his hands and into heavy traffic on 9000 South near 150 West just before 3 p.m., said Sandy police Lt. Kevin Thacker.
The man darted into traffic without looking in an effort to retrieve his money. Just as his hands clasped around the bill the man was hit by a pick-up truck.
Fortunately for the man, the truck was going very slowly because of the heavy traffic, Thacker said. The man was treated and released at the scene for scrapes and bruises.
