David Fletcher, of Thomas Petersen Hammond Architects, recently received the "2001 Historic Landmark Commission Merit Award."

The award, presented by the Salt Lake City Historic Landmark Commission, recognizes those who through their work exemplify the design standards used for historic districts and buildings listed on the Salt Lake register of cultural resources.

Fletcher's renovation project, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' 10th Ward, began in 1997 and was completed in January 2000. The project cost an estimated $3 million.
