Our most loved husband, father, and grandfather, William Frederick Miles, 52, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2002.

He was born Feb. 24, 1949 in Salt Lake City, UT the second child born to Richard S. and Grace Ladle Miles. He graduated from Granite High School in 1967. He served a LDS mission in London, England, 1968-1970. Upon returning, he attended the University of Utah for two years before choosing a career as an electrician. He worked for Copier Electric for 10 years and then worked for Taylor Electric for 20 years.

He was married to Christine Fay Barrus Nov 19, 1971 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They built their first house and have lived there for 25 years. He was the father of six children.

He was a member of the LDS Church where he served many callings including, Sunday School teacher, Elders Quorum president, bishopric counselor, bishop, and worked with special people at the Beehive Retirement home.

He enjoyed many outdoor activities including snowmobiling, hiking, fishing, hunting, and golfing. He enjoyed traveling and took numerous vacations with his family.

Survived by wife, Christine Barrus Miles; children, Nicole Miles, Dionne (Dan) Powell, Adam Miles, Jacob Miles, Sheena Miles, Chelsea Miles; four grandchildren; parents, Richard and Grace Miles; brothers, John (Nanette) Miles, Doug (Willy) Miles, Jim (Jeanette) Miles; many aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was always willing to serve others. He loved and was loved by many people. He will always be remembered and missed by many.

Services will be Wed. 12 noon, Winder 12th Ward, 950 E. 3825 S. Friends may call at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Tues. 6-8 p.m. and at the church Wed. 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
