Marian Isabelle Poulsen, 87, passed away January 27, 2002.
She was born in Ogden, Utah on Jan. 12, 1915. Her parents,
William Rowland Ashment and Grace Hazelton Raleigh, raised and educated her in Utah. She mar-ried Ray Richard Poulsen on Aug. 29, 1932 in Tooele, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. Marian was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. For many years she served as a Senior Volunteer, visiting the elderly in nursing home and those at home who had no one to look out for them. Then for many years as Compassionate Service Leader, she looked after the elderly in her ward. She taught all her family unconditional love by her wonderful example.
husband, Ray R. Poulsen; daughters, Jeanne (Don) Pearson and Gayle Anderson; five grandchildren, Terry (Jill) Campbell, Susan (Craig) Oliver, Dirk (Patti) Anderson, Debbie (Alan) James, Cheri (Randy) Hubrich; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brothers-in-law, John (Violet) Poulsen, Delbert (Aleen) Poulsen, Kenneth (Violet) Poulsen.
Funeral services Thurs., Jan. 31, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. or Thursday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
