Norman David Ockey passed away peacefully at his home on January 1, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born May 24, 1924 in Salt Lake City to Henry and Alice Ockey. He mar-ried Ramona Lucille Hall on Feb. 1, 1947, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Norm loved life. He was an avid golfer and truly enjoyed his relationships and activities with family and friends. Always dedicated and willing to serve, he faithfully held many positions in the LDS Church throughout his life.

Norm is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lucille; son Paul; four brothers, Blaine, Robert, Gail and Thomas; four grandchildren, Kara, Jake, Tyler and Kacie; and one great-granddaughter, Kaylee. He was preceded in death by his brother Jerry and daughter Pam.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, January 5, 2002 at the Stratford Ward Chapel, 2605 South 1500 East, Salt Lake City. We welcome family and friends to call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah.
