Scott Dwight Hansen, son of Vaughn L. Hansen and Joy Hansen McKinstry, passed away December 31, 2001 after a valiant fight with prostate cancer.

Born April 30, 1952 at Holy Cross Hospital. Graduate of Granite High, attended U of U and earned his MBA from Colorado Univ. US Army veteran, serving in Germany during Vietnam era.

Married his soul mate and the love of his life, Vicki.

Survivors: his wife, Vicki and their two daughters, Austa and Andrea Hansen; five children from a previous marriage, Patrick (Yumiko) Hansen of Tokyo, Japan; Stephanie (Jim) Stewart of Sunset, Utah; Rebecca Hansen of Las Vegas; David (Natalie) Hansen of Salt Lake City and Elizabeth Hansen, serving a Paris, France mission; six grandchildren, Derek, Emily and Lucas Hansen, Samantha, Brian and Anna Stewart; parents, Ev and Joy McKinstry of Brigham City; brothers, Stephen Hansen of Pueblo, CO; Craig L. (Darla) Hansen of Salt Lake City; sister, Jill Scharrenberg of Brigham City; step-brother, Carter McKinstry; step-sister, Dawn McKinstry; in-laws, Russ and Austa Miller of Preston, ID. Preceded in death by his father.

Scott was a friend to everyone. He was a person who radiated charisma. An avid golfer and he enjoyed the game immensely.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 4, 2002, 3 p.m., Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 1950 E. 10600 South. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to their favorite charity or the

Humane Society of Utah.
