Lois Tolboe Johnson age 89 passed away January 28, 2002 of heart failure at the Apple Tree Assisted Living Home in Kaysville, Utah, where she was a resident.

Lois was born August 26, 1912 in Castle Dale, Utah, a daughter of Dennis Peter Tolboe and Hannah Lovica Hudson. She married her sweetheart Oliver F. (Ollie) Johnson on June 16, 1932 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Lois received her early education in Castle Dale and Carbon High School in Price, Utah and received her Associate Degree from Brigham Young University. An active member of the LDS Church, Lois had many callings throughout her life in ward and stake programs in teaching the youth in primary and MIA. She was a member of the Orem 16th Ward. She was a member of the Orem Women's Club and also a member of a Friendship Card Club that lasted over 50 years. Lois was a very loving and kind person. Her greatest attribute was making friends. She sincerely loved people and had a charitable heart. Her friendships lasted throughout her life. She was a favorite aunt, cousin, and the best grandmother you could have.

Ollie and Lois were residents of Orem since 1938 and were in business in Orem for over 45 years. They owned and operated Orem Cash Store, Ollie's Market and Ollie's Econo Wash.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Ollie and her youngest son Dr. Dennis Randy Johnson, and three sisters. She is survived by a son Sam (Nancy) Johnson of Fruit Heights; a daughter, Sally (John) Hill of Phoenix, AZ; and a daughter-in-law, Carol McBride of Roosevelt, UT; 15 grandchildren: Scott Johnson, Dr. David Johnson, Steven Johnson, Dr. Blake Johnson, Greg Johnson, Dennis Johnson, Jared Johnson, Dr. Michael Hill, Dr. Dennis Johnson, Amy Johnson, Kristy Heaton, Marianne Jenkins, Devin Johnson, Cindee Murphy, and Dustin Johnson. She is also survived by 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2002, at 1 p.m. at the Sundberg-0lpin Mortuary Cascade Chapel, 495 South State St. in Orem. A viewing will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary and also Saturday one hour prior to the services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
