MONROE, UTAH- <! > Lee Elijah Jensen, 87, of Monroe, Utah, passed away Jan. 28, 2002, at his home in Monroe, Utah.
He was born Feb. 16, 1914, in Vermillion, Utah, to Elijah Martin and Caroline Marie Jensen. He married Susan Marie Bohman, August 30, 1933, in Monroe, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, July 10, 1957.
Lee was an active member of the LDS Church where he served as Ward Sunday School Superintendent for seven years, Stake Sunday School Superintendent for two years, Counselor in the Bishopric for eight years; Stake High Council, and Stake Finance Clerk and Auditor.
He is survived by his wife Susie of Monroe; children, Jerald Lee (Patricia) Jensen, Carolyn Marie Woodbury, both of Huntington Beach, CA; James A. (Linda) Jensen, Price; Peggy Ann (Vernon) Roundy, Monroe; Richard Alma Jensen, Murray; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grand-children; sisters, Elsie (Theron) DeMille; Weitta (Ivan) Mills, both of Monroe.
Preceded in death by parents; son David Jensen; sisters, Mildred (Marion) Bohman; Ardelle (Dwight) Swindle.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Monroe 3rd LDS Ward Chapel, 140 S. Main. Friends may call at Ward Chapel in Monroe on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, UT.
