Fern Hunter Runolfson, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in American Fork on Jan. 26, 2002.
She was born August 4, 1912 to George Walter Hunter and Martha Edna Phillips. She married Loyal Boas Runolfson on March 26, 1938. Their marriage was solemnized April 17, 1993 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She is survived by her seven children: Vala Jeanne' Beach, Salt Lake; Vell (Claudia) Runolfson, Murray; Kent (Janeen) Runolfson, Monroe; Colleen (Larry) Caldwell, American Fork; Arlen (Judy) Runolfson, Alpine; Muriel (Tom) Cook, Highland, and Debra (Michael) Aston, American Fork; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grand-children, a brother, Dee (Virginia) Hunter, American Fork; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alice Runolfson, Sp. Fork; Bill and Darlene Ivie, Gunnison; Frank and June Runolfson, Sandy. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart Loyal in 1998, parents, sister Muriel Little, brothers Von and Vell Hunter.
Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 1, at 12 noon in the American Fork 3rd Ward Chapel, 165 N. 350 W. Friends may call Thursday from 6- 8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N., American Fork and on Friday from 10:30-11:45 at the church. Burial, American Fork Cemetery.
