"Mini" celebrations intended to give Provo residents a chance to meet as neighbors will be a focal point around the Olympic torch run as it wends its way through the city on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

Celebrations will be held at the following locations:

Pioneer Park-Franklin Neighborhood. The celebration will begin at 6 p.m. and will include performances from the elementary school classes, a demonstration by the school jump rope team and flag waving. Hot chocolate and other goodies will be available for purchase.

Historic County Courthouse-Maeser Neighborhood. The neighborhood event begins at 6:45 p.m. with the Maeser Elementary School Choir performing. The school PTA/Student Council will be selling Hot Chocolate and cider for 25 cents.

Provo Library at Academy Square-Joaquin Neighborhood. A pep rally will begin at 7:30 p.m. The Library grounds will be glowing with light from hundreds of luminarias . School choirs will perform and there will be balloons for everyone.

North Park-Timp, North Park and Dixon Neighborhoods. Beginning at 7 p.m. there will be food, fun and a program featuring Timp Elementary school singers, Dixon Middle School performers and the Utah Valley Mass Choir. Free Hot Chocolate will be served.
