CLEVELAND — Hannes Hyvonen broke a tie with 2:21 remaining as the Cleveland Barons topped the Utah Grizzlies 3-2 Wednesday night at Gund Arena.
It was Utah's first loss on its 17-game Olympic road trip. The Grizz (26-19-4-2) are now 2-1-1 on the excursion.
John Erskine and Cameron Mann netted Utah's goals, while goaltender Wade Flaherty finished with 25 saves.
The teams meet again Friday (5 p.m., 1230 AM) in Cleveland.
