TUACAHN will hold tryouts for roles in two productions on Friday, Jan. 11, from 1:30-7 p.m., in the Kingsbury Hall rehearsal room in Salt Lake City, and on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., in Room 29 of Brigham Young University's Knight-Magnum Building.

The auditions are for roles in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and "Annie Get Your Gun," both playing in repertory June 12-Aug. 31. Tryouts will also be held for Tuacahn's new fall season production of "Utah!" to run Sept. 12-Oct. 12. Derryl Yeager is directing "Joseph" (with David Osmond precast in the title role), and Jim Bennett is directing "Annie Get Your Gun."

No advance appointments are necessary. Registration at Kingsbury Hall, on the U. campus, will begin at 1 p.m., and sign-in for the BYU auditions begins at 9:30 a.m. Equity and non-Equity players will be considered. All adult performers will be paid. Rehearsals for the summer season begin May 6. Rehearsals for the fall season begin in August during the run of the two summer shows.

All auditioners should come prepared with 16 measures of two different songs. An accompanist will be provided. Also, come dressed appropriately for dance auditions. Prepare a contemporary monologue, no longer than two minutes. Please bring a current photograph and resume.

HALE CENTRE THEATRE, West Valley City, will hold auditions on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 9 a.m.-noon for a new production of Ruth and Nathan Hales' "A Spring to Remember," directed by JaNae Gibbs Cottam. All auditions are by appointment only. Call 984-9000, beginning Monday, Jan. 7, to schedule a time slot. Character descriptions will be available at the box office, 3333 S. Decker Lake Drive.

All auditioners should come prepared with their best 32 bars of a Broadway show tune. Those auditioning for the female ingenue role must also prepare 32 bars of a ballad. An accompanist will be provided (no taped music will be allowed). Also, come prepared with a 30- to 60-second comedic monologue. Dance auditions will be held during callbacks (by invitation only). All cast members will be paid. Please bring a current photograph and resume.

Play dates are March 4-April 1.

VIP ARTS will hold auditions on Jan. 8 and 9 for Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman," scheduled to be staged at the Villa Playhouse's Little Brown Theatre in Springville.

Needed are eight men and five women, all ranging in age from 20 to 65. Auditions will be 8 to 10 p.m. on Jan. 8 and 7 to 10 p.m. on Jan. 9 at the theater, 239 S. Main. Come prepared with a short monologue (not more than two minutes). There may also be cold readings from the script.
