EAGLE MOUNTAIN — A Utah County mother and her three children, who were reported missing Thursday night after they failed to return from a funeral in Milford, were found this morning after spending the night stranded on Soldier Pass Road in south Utah County, about three-miles off U.S. 6.

Utah County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Dennis Harris, said the group, found by searchers, appeared to be in good condition but details of the overnight ordeal were sketchy.

A search for the missing family was launched after Shad Holm of Eagle Mountain told the Utah County Sheriff's Department Thursday night that his wife, Laurelee and their three youngsters, Flint Holm, 1, Jade Holm, 4, and Anthony Wright, 6, had not been heard from since leaving Milford at approximately 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Family members retraced the route from Milford to Eagle Mountain twice without finding the family car. They checked hospitals, gas stations and motels without success, said Harris.

The patrol division of the sheriff's department was dispatched and an airplane search was launched this morning, Harris said.
