Maude Eschler Cazier, age 95, died Jan. 4, 2002 in Salt Lake City. Maude was born Nov. 28, 1906 in Paris, Idaho to Gott-fried Eschler and Rose Katherine Kunz. Her youth was spent in Logan, Utah. She married Charles Kent Cazier March 18, 1941; their union was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He passed away October 28, 2001. The majority of her adult life was spent in Salt Lake City, Utah. The greatest joys in her life were the closeness and love she shared with her husband (with whom she is surely enjoying a much-anticipated reunion) and her tender relationship with her family.
Maude is survived by her daughter, Catherine (Norman H.) Burt; three grandchildren, Lezli Burt, Charles Hamilton (Jamie) Burt, Emili (David) Rindlisbach, and two great-grandchildren, Skye Rindlisbach and Kennadie Rachel Burt, as well as a sister, Winnfried Penman, brother-in-law Doyle (Kathryn) Cazier, sisters-in-law Doris Deyoe and Hazel Cazier, and countless nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 7, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the Monument Park 8th Ward chapel, 1794 Texas St (2440 E.). Friends may call at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary 2350 E. 1300 S. Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Mon. at the Church 10-10:45 a.m. Interment in the Logan, Utah City Cemetery.
