In response to Ron Murphy's letter, "Don't forgive bin Laden" (Jan. 2), as long we are swapping scriptures, Doctrine and Covenants 64:10 "I, the Lord, will forgive whom I will forgive, but of you it is required to forgive all men."
There is also one in the Bible that whatever deity you believe in, it holds a teaching that perhaps every church has taught, and it applies to all men, all human beings, which like it or not is what bin Laden is.
Matthew 5:43-44 "Ye have heard that it has been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor and hate thine enemy. But I say unto, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you."
Now I want justice given to bin Laden, and I know that whether he is killed or captured he will get what is coming to him, but as to whether or not to forgive him, the answer is simple. I do.
