Lola Pace Hobson Staley, 69, died Friday, January 4, 2002 in Upton, Utah.

She was born Jan. 31, 1932 in Coalville, UT to John Fredrick and Julia Alvira Pace Hobson. On Oct 6, 1950, she married Gilbert Neal Staley in the Salt Lake Temple.

She had grad-uated from North Summit High School and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in all organizations but spent many years working with the Young Wo-men's program, and as Drama Director and Camp Director.

She was owner and operator of the Evanston, WY Taco Time and worked alongside her husband in their sheep business for 21 years. She also enjoyed her role as a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband; two sons and three daughters, Brent (Linda) Staley, Coalville, Julie Pace, Coalville, Alan (Barbra) Staley, Green River, WY, LaRita (Bill) Jacobson, Coalville, LaNeal (Ralph) Burke, Coalville; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchil-dren; one brother and two sisters, Harold (Carol) Hobson, Coalville, Wilma (Raymond) Lingmann, Coalville, Gwen (Dewey) Saxton, Oakley, UT; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Vi and Rex Birch, June and Ed Taylor, Gerry Schmitt, Blanche and Archie Esinhower, Eldon and Barbara Staley, Spencer and Carolyn Staley, Karen and Jack Giger. She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Jennafer Jacobson; and brother-in-law, Ray Staley.

Services will be Tues. Jan 8, 2002, 1 p.m., Hoytsville Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Walker Mortuary Mon. 7-9 p.m. and Tues. 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Interment, Hoytsville Cemetery.
