SHARE Lone Peak crushes No. 2 Timpview

ALPINE — Fourth-ranked Lone Peak avenged an earlier loss to second-ranked Timpview on Friday, and the T-Birds did it in convincing fashion.

The Knights held the T-Birds to zero field goals in the opening quarter, and proceeded to cruise to the 53-37 victory.

Candace Mattson led Lone Peak with 20 points, 12 rebounds and five steals.

Lone Peak improves to 11-1 in Region 6, while Timpview drops to 10-1.

CLEARFIELD 50, NORTHRIDGE 36: Jennie Overdiek led Clearfield with 22 points. Only five Falcons scored.

SKYLINE 52, VIEWMONT 33: Carly Walton scored 12 points and Jenny Jensen added 11 as the Eagles soared over the Vikings.

DAVIS 53, COTTONWOOD 37: Megan Hansen scored 12 points to lead the Darts over the Colts. Lisa Heath added 11 for Davis while Jamie Wankier led Cottonwood with 18.


COPPER HILLS 63, GRANGER 55: Kayli Hillyard scored 23 points as the Grizzlies bounced back from a difficult loss to Kearns on Tuesday with a solid win over the Lancers.

KEARNS 54, HUNTER 36: Chelsey DeLaMare recorded 17 points while Heather Little added 12 in leading second-ranked Kearns to the easy win.

BINGHAM 48, RIVERTON 29: Nicole Roland scored 15 points for the Miners in a win over Riverton.

TAYLORSVILLE 43, WEST JORDAN 38: The Warriors overcame a sluggish first quarter, and Emily Garn added 16 points, as Taylorsville picked up the victory. The Warriors outscored the Jaguars 18-8 at the foul line.


MURRAY 55, HIGHLAND 42: Monique Pili scored 14 points as the top-ranked Spartans remained undefeated in region play with a victory over second-place Highland. Melinda Johnsen added 10 points and six steals for Murray.

BOUNTIFUL 65, West 41: Despite Margaret Bennett's 30 points, West fell by 24 to the Braves. Nancy Seljass led Bountiful with 19 points and 7 assists.

CYPRUS 48, EAST 40: Monica Miller had 15, Penny Jones added 16 as the Pirates stole a win from East.

OLYMPUS 48, WOODS CROSS 42: The Titans' Emi Heaton recorded 15 points as Olympus rallied past the Wildcats. Oly outscored Woods Cross 18-8 in the fourth quarter.


PROVO 63, PAYSON 43: The Bulldogs' Casey Mills recorded 28 points and eight rebounds in leading Provo to the win. Provo outscored the Lions 40-21 in the second half.


WASATCH 57, UNION 47: Shalee Fackerel led the Wasps to another victory with 25 points.

UINTAH 65, LEHI 58: Tarra Madsen's layup with four seconds remaining sent the game in overtime, and from there the Utes cruised. Kassi Richins led Uintah with 14 points while Madsen added 13.


WHITEHORSE 84, MONUMENT VALLEY 75: Duchena Martin scored 27 points as the Raiders wrapped up the south division of Region 16.

GREEN RIVER 42, NAVAJO MOUNTAIN 34: Tawmi Bigelow and Ashlee Richards scored 12 each to lead Green River. Thirty-seven of the game's points were scored in the fourth.
