NEPHI — Sometimes quality is better than quantity.

Kelsey Hall made one basket in Juab's 59-58 win over Manti Thursday night, and it was a game-winning layup with five seconds left.

Kristyn Newton led the Wasps with 17 points.

MORGAN 56, BEAR RIVER 55: The Trojans beat their region rivals in a nail-biter for the region championship. Veva Whitear led Morgan in scoring with 15 points. Courtney Woerner led the Bears with 23 points.


DELTA 60, RICHFIELD 57: It took two overtimes, but the Rabbits finally got the win. Aubrey Nickle led with 15.

EMERY 45, NORTH SANPETE 23: Cheryl Grant's 14 led three Emery scorers in double figures.


CEDAR CITY 58, CANYON VIEW 55: Megan Schmutz scored 17 points as the Redmen edged the Falcons. Julianne Fales scored 31 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Canyon View.

HURRICANE 51, DIXIE 43: Sheila Robertson scored 25 points and went 16-of-16 from the line as the Tigers topped the Flyers. Chasi Winningham made four 3-pointers and scored 16 points for Dixie.


JUDGE MEMORIAL 59, UINTAH 42: Megan Hodges scored 12 points as the Bulldogs routed the Utes. Rose Hamilton had seven steals for Judge, and Kim Constantinesco grabbed seven rebounds.


SAN JUAN 46, DUCHESNE 44: Suraya Atacitty hit a jumper at the buzzer to lift San Juan. Noel Lyman led the way with 10.


ROWLAND HALL 40, NORTH SUMMIT 38: Makiko Kasahara led Rowland Hall to a narrow overtime win with 13.

SOUTH SUMMIT 58, GRANTSVILLE 31: Sara Parker made three 3-pointers and scored 12 points to lead the Wildcats over the Cowboys. Rachel McNeil and Natalie Marchant also scored 12 for South Summit.


SOUTH SEVIER 42, NORTH SEVIER 40: South Sevier managed to hang on to a slim lead to get past North Sevier. Alisa Rose scored 17.


KANAB 46, ENTERPRISE 45: Sarah Cooper hit a 10-footer with one second remaining to give the Cowboys the win over the Wolves. Amanda Cooper scored 12 for Kanab while Sam Moyle led Enterprise with 15.


DUGWAY 73, MERIDIAN 19: Kerri Phillips took advantage of a game against Meridian to score 17 points. Ten Dugway players logged points.

EAST CARBON 73, WASATCH ACADEMY 63: Elizabeth Dansie led East Carbon to an overtime win with 26 points. The two teams attempted a combined 80 free throws.

TINTIC 65, WENDOVER 38: Amber Jones made four 3-pointers and scored 22 points as the Miners whipped the Wildcats. Summer Grimstead added 14 points for Tintic.


WAYNE 62, MILFORD 42: Kali Taylor scored 24 points as the Badgers blasted the Tigers. Lynette Barnes led Milford with 22 points.


SALT LAKE LUTHERAN 56, ST. JOSEPH 46: Jen Hart scored 17 points as the Lynx jumped to a 29-9 halftime lead. Cassi Gray led St. Joseph with 18 points.
