Richard Cannon Andrew, beloved husband, father, uncle, and friend to all, went home to his Heavenly Father, Jan. 5, 2002.

Richard was born Aug. 31, 1908 in Salt Lake to Richard Denton

and Louise Cannon Andrew. Married Ruth Hollis Sept. 8, 1930 in Salt Lake Temple.

He served as Bishop for 10 1/2 years Monument Park 2nd Ward, High Councilor Bonneville Stake, as Counselor in Salt Lake Stake Presidency, and served as a sealer in the Salt Lake Temple.

He went to West High, U of U, New York Stock Exchange Institute. Graduated from the American Institute of Banking. He was a member of the Salt Lake Mining Exchange, a Broker, and a Registered Representative of the New York Stock Exchange for J.A. Hogle Company. Past Director of the Salt Lake and Utah Board of Realtors and Chairman and member of the Salt Lake Planning and Zoning Commission for 20 years. Served on the Salt Lake Library Board, Salt Lake County

Director of the March of Dimes, Chairman of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis 1951 to 1957, and Salt Lake Lions Club for 25 years. Known for his activity in sports, Bankers Baseball Team, tennis and bowling. Was past President of ABC Bowling Association.

Survived by his wife, Ruth; daughter Mary Lou and sister Louise Andrew. Many nephews and nieces.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002 at 12 Noon, at the Monument Park 2nd Ward Chapel, 1005 So. 20th E. Friends may call Tues. evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 E. 1300 So., and Wed. at the ward one hour prior to services. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.
