Margaret "Pegge" Brown Stanley, lover of life and adventure, moved out of her body after complications from surgery on Christmas Day so she could do more of the things she loves.

While the two most important things in this life, her children, Eric and Sara, will miss hearing her laughter, eating her delicious food, and being touched by her soft, warm hands, they know she is now completely able to eat all the butter and bacon she wants, chase after all the grandchildren she will have and finally make the hike to the top of Mt. Olympus again. She plans on continuing to look after her impeccable landscape, sneaking a few cigarettes with her oldest brother, Ben, sharing more books with her youngest sister Carole, and having a good laugh with her younger brother Parry.

All of us who knew her on this earth plan on celebrating her life, her generous and thoughtful spirit, and all the wonderful memories she gave us while she was here on Monday, December 30, 2002 at the Red Butte Gardens in Salt Lake City, Utah from 12 - 1ish. We will also share our imaginings of what she is doing with her new found freedom - Come help us celebrate her life.

If you knew Pegge, you know she preferred gardens and art to flowers so in lieu of these, please send any donations to any of the following: Red Butte Gardens, Salt Lake Art Center or The Huntsman Cancer Institute.
