One of America's finest. Born on the 4th of July 1920 to James and Amelia Taylor Phillips in Sugar City, Idaho. Raised in American Fork. Our loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at home February 1, 2002 from what he would call "lack of breath." Those who knew and loved him will surely miss his cleaver wit, sharp comebacks and sense of humor.

A Master Sergeant in the Air Force, stationed in India and China during World War II. Served in the Korean War. "Curly" had a thirst for knowledge and was a very well-educated man, attended BYU, U of U, and Utah State University. Dad loved math and taught mathematics. After the war, he was a tech rep for North American Aviation. Then worked and made many friends as a commercial estimator. Accomplished any work endeavors to perfection. Enjoyed his work so much at Daw Inc. that he continued to work daily until age 80 and one-half. He was a member of the LDS Church.
