LAS VEGAS — Lou Kelly scored 19 points and seven assists Sunday to lead UNLV past DePaul 90-75.
The Rebels blew past the Blue Demons in the second half by making 68 percent of their shots from the field.
Six players scored in double digits for UNLV (11-7), including Chris Richardson, who had 16 points and 9 rebounds, and Marcus Banks and Louis Amundson, who added 13 points each.
For DePaul (8-12), Marlon Brooks led with 17 points. Andre Brown added 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Lance Williams had 15 points, 10 rebounds and three steals.
The Blue Demons played without two of their starters, Imari Sawyer and Sam Hoskin. Both had been suspended.
DePaul also was playing without its head coach Pat Kennedy, who has missed four consecutive games after suffering a back injury. Associate coach Tracy Dildy filled in as head coach.
The game was tied 51-51 with 14:10 left in the game when Dalron Johnson sparked a 12-2 Rebels run with a field goal.
