Novelist Anne Rice's mansion and the thousand dolls it holds are for sale — separately.
St. Elizabeth's, a former orphanage that takes up a full block in New Orleans' Garden District, is being sold furnished — antique beds, tables, sideboards and all.
"The chapel seats 225 for recitals or concerts or what you will. Acoustics are incredible. And the chairs can be cleared away to reveal a wonderful wooden dance floor," according to Rice's Web site. "Priced to sell at $6.5 million. A sacrifice after years of loving renovation."

The dolls, ranging from $10 to $3,500, are being sold individually.
