FREDONIA, ARIZONA - <! > Thayne Holladay, known lovingly as "Whitey", died Friday, April 5, 2002.

He was born July 19, 1930 in Ephraim, UT to Effie Christina Larsen Holladay and Isaiah Cornelius Holladay. Mar-ried Jane Patch-en, later divor-ced.

Whitey played piano in a dance band at the early age of 16. He was a 1948 graduate of Payson High School where he excelled in music. He was an extraordinary craftsman and builder, and was a member of the Las Vegas Carpenters Local 1780 for 35 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved the mountains and deserts and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was always generous with his time and talents and loved his family.

Survivors include children, Gae Annette Holladay, Heidelburg, Germany, Ronald K. (Pauline) Holladay, Idaho Falls, ID, Susan Gail (Steven) Roberts, Sierraville, CA, Carol Lee Terwilliger, Las Vegas, NV; sister, Joy Holladay, Salt Lake City, UT; brother, Brice Holladay, FL; and eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Lucinda, Lisa Marie, Carly, Michelle, Joylin, Nicholas, J.T. He was preceded in death by son, Donald Holladay; son-in-law, Edward Terwilliger; brothers, Tharen and Doyle Holladay; and sister, Viola Holladay.
