- Mary Evelyn Anderson Peel, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, went home to our Heavenly Father April 5, 2002 after a sudden and unexpected heart attack.
She was born Oct 25, 1921 to Arthur Glen and Theora Christine Anderson in Foun-tain Green, UT. She lived a very happy and healthy 80 years and went peacefully with her children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters at her side.
She married her soul mate and partner in life Perry Christian Peel Jan 18, 1943 in Las Vegas, NV. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Dec 14, 1965. Together they raised four children who gave them 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
Mary loved this life and had great faith in the word and teachings of the LDS Church where she served in many callings over the years. She also served as Captain of the Belvedere Camp of the D.U.P.
She is survived by her children, Catherine (Karl) Lano, Susan (Tom) Evans, Chris (Bobbie) Peel; 10 grand-children; 20 great-grandchildren, three brothers, Wendell, Forrest, Merril; and one sister, Dorothy. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Perry; daughter, Patsy; and brother, Claire.
Mary's concern in life was for those she loved. Her selfless example of love and kindness, courage and endurance will remain with many forever.
Services will be Tues. April 9, 2002, 11 a.m., Belvedere Ward chapel, 607 E. Downington Ave. (1820 S). Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Mon. April 8, 6-8 p.m. and Tues. at the church 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Fountain Green City Cemetery, approximately 3 p.m.
