ST. GEORGE (AP) — A man charged with obstructing justice in the Jan. 3 killing of Southgate Golf Course employee Ted Banister is seeking a plea bargain.
Federico Molano, 18, St. George, has not yet entered that agreement, but his attorney said Thursday that he planned to. A resolution hearing was set for Thursday.
Eber Pena, 26, St. George, and a 15-year-old girl, also were charged with obstructing justice.
Pena pleaded guilty on Wednesday to a reduced charge of attempting to obstruct justice, a third-degree felony.
Facing more serious charges in the slaying are Juan Antonio Olvera, 19, charged with aggravated murder and aggravated robbery; A 17-year-old St. George boy charged with murder and aggravated robbery; and Robert Arthur Audette, 18, charged with murder and aggravated robbery.
