Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Delsa Christensen McCleary, age 91, passed away May 7, 2002.

She was born in Raymond, Alberta, Canada, December 10, 1910 to Christian Amandus and Annie Caroline Anderson Christensen.

She married William F. McCleary on April 22, 1930. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, June 3, 1954. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully for many years. Some of her happiest memories were spent serving in the Jordan River Temple as an ordinance worker. She was an active member of the DUP. She was deeply devoted to her family; and loved her home and working in her flower gardens.

Delsa is survived by three sons, Donald K. (Arlene), Jerry L. (Shirla) and J. Kent (Sharla); daughter-in-law Jane McCleary Sumner; 18 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William F. McCleary and son William D. McCleary; three brothers Czar, Jack and Joy Christensen and one sister, Mervine Brown.

The family expresses appreciation to the caretakers of the West Jordan Beehive home and the Hospice Care Source Facility.

Mom--Thank you for the marvelous example of unconditional love that you shared with your family and friends. You'll always be our ray of sunshine!

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2002 at 12:00 noon at the East Midvale 1st Ward, 240 E. 7550 S., Midvale, Utah. Friends may call at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 S., Friday, May 10, 2002 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the ward one hour prior to the services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
